Breitling GMT Chronograph watch ref 2115 (1969)

Vintage Breitling GMT Chronograph: This fabulous Vintage Breitling Chronograph is in excellent condition for its age and has become a highly collectable watch. This particular watch model 2115 with serial number 1346305 dates this watch to 1969-1970, the 2115 is described as an Automatic with Large Steel case and Date. The large meaning a case diameter of approx 46mm without crown. In 1969 Breitling first marketed the automatic chronograph; the 6 sided case was also introduced in 1969 making this watch an early example of its kind.
These early automatics were marketed under a range called Chrono-Matic and within the Chrono-Matic range were Navitimer, Navitimer with 24hr Dial, Pult, Chronomat-Chrono-Matic, Super-Ocean, Sailing, GMT and smaller case varieties.
The GMT has a very clean and sharp case, the gasket had liquefied which is common(put right)and also shows the watch has not had much attention over the years. The case back which you can see from the photos is free from scratches and not over polished, the case back markings are clearly visible with the naked eye. DDE-BR 11525/67 2115 1346305.T
he Crown and Pushers are all original along with the Plexi Glass. The Dial and Hands are in immaculate condition, the combination of colours makes this Breitling one of the most colourful models they have produced. The movement is Calibre 11 which is the first generation auto Calibre with a 19800 train speed. The GMT has a different minute wheel and an extra hour wheel for the 24 hour hand(yellow one).

The watch was serviced by our very own Rolex trained service technician using only breitling original parts. The Breitling cal 11 movement has been stripped, ultra sonic chemically cleaned, retimed to 6 positions then oiled and re-built. Grade A++ service.
