Vintage Breitling "Unitime" Wrist Watch:
Vintage Unitime Model 2610.The Unitime Model first appeared in the early 1950's. The Unitime was available in a variety of designs, as you can see from the photos this watch has a Bakelite insert in the outer bezel (some have silver bezels)The first picture shows the original watch alongside a promotional photo from an early catalogue. The very early Unitime was also known by the name "Worldtime" a print of the world was in the middle of the dial and instead of a numbered rotating bezel had the names of 24 cities instead.
The watch above is model 2610 with serial number: 999927 making this watch approximately 48 years old (1964-65) The Stainless Steel case is in excellent condition with no over polishing and sharp lines,the case back has minor marks but all the engraving is visible, as you can see there is no corrosion to the case back or middle section. The original Breitling Crown is not original to the watch, like most brands the most common case parts that are changed are Glasses and Winding Crowns, I purchased this watch with the Stem broken and crownless. The dial is in a very good condition with a minor mark radiating from the centre to the 4 0’ clock batons. The movement is in excellent condition, the Felsa 711 Calibre is a modified Felsa 692.For the Unitime to indicate both a 12 and 24 hour reading simultaneously (like a GMT) a doubled toothed hour wheel engages with two smaller wheels which then engage into the teeth of the 24hour indicator, as the time moves forward in the normal direction the 24 hr disc(indicator) rotates in unison in an anti clockwise direction.Complete with original instruction leaflet.

The watch was serviced by our very own Rolex trained service technician using only breitling original parts. The Breitling Felsa cal7 11 movement has been stripped, ultra sonic chemically cleaned, retimed to 6 positions then oiled and re-built. Grade A++ service.
