This vintage watch was made in 1967 and is among a small batch of these references made. It is of a few examples still with the original pie pan dial and original font bezel.
The Omega Speedmaster was made famous in 1969 when it accompanied Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to the moon. It is the official watch of choice for NASA and has being worn on all NASA space missions since the early 60’s, bottom line, of all the brands they tested (including Rolex) it was the only one that stood up to every test and was proved ‘flight qualified’ for space travel!
The Speedmaster is probably one of the most famous watches ever made! The 145-012 version been the one that was worn on the first moon walk and was accompanying NASA Astronauts.
