Vintage Rolex Daytona ref 16520 manufactured in 1993.

This stunning Mark III dial Rolex Daytona is true conversation piece with its inverted 6’s on the sub registersont dial and its Powerhorse Zenith El Primero 400 movement renamed the Rolex Calibre 4030.

Rolex made many modifications to the El Primero movement. The most important are to reduce the balance oscillation from 36,000 beats per hour to 28,800, thus reducing the frequency from 5 Hz to 4 HZ, a Breguet balance spring was added. A Glucydur balance and Microstella fine adjustment. This is a column wheel chronograph.

The case serial number is S256958 which dates the watch to 1993.

This Vintage Rolex Daytona Sports watch comes ready to wear on its Vintage Rolex Oyster Bracelet ref 78360 with its rare ref 503 end pieces. These bracelets where the original bracelets issued with these Rolex Daytona’s ref 16520.

This Rolex Daytona was purchased from its original owner and has only been serviced and lightly polished to remove surface scratches.

The movement has been stripped, ultrasonically cleaned, oiled and reassembled in our own workshop by our inhouse Rolex Accredited Watch Specialist.
