Vintage Rolex Daytona ref 16520 manufactured in 1998.
This stunning Rolex Daytona is true conversation piece with its Powerhorse Zenith El Primero 400 movement renamed the Rolex Calibre 4030.
Rolex made many modifications to the El Primero movement. The most important are to reduce the balance oscillation from 36,000 beats per hour to 28,800, thus reducing the frequency from 5 Hz to 4 HZ, a Breguet balance spring was added. A Glucydur balance and Microstella fine adjustment.
This is a column wheel chronograph.
The case serial number is A140271 which dates the watch to 1998.
This Vintage Rolex Daytona Sports watch comes ready to wear on its Vintage Rolex Oyster Bracelet ref 78390a.
This Rolex Daytona was purchased from its original owner and has only been serviced and lightly polished to remove surface scratches.
The watch was serviced by our very own Rolex trained service technician using only Rolex original parts. The Rolex cal 4030 movement has been stripped, ultra sonic chemically cleaned and then oiled and re-built. Grade A++ service.
