Vintage Rolex Daytona 18ct Gold watch ref 16528 manufactured in 1989.

 

This stunning 18ct  Rolex Daytona with rolex service papers  is true conversation piece with its original Rolex champagne diamond dial and its Powerhorse Zenith El Primero 400 movement renamed the Rolex Calibre 4030.

Rolex made many modifications to the El Primero movement. The most important are to reduce the balance oscillation from 36,000 beats per hour to 28,800, thus reducing the frequency from 5 Hz to 4 HZ, a Breguet balance spring was added. A Glucydur balance and Microstella fine adjustment. This is a column wheel chronograph.

 

The case serial number is L243706 which dates the watch to 1989.

 

This Vintage Rolex Daytona Sports watch comes ready to wear on its Vintage Rolex Oyster Bracelet ref 78668. These heavy bracelets where the original bracelets issued with these Rolex Daytona’s ref 16528.

This Rolex Daytona was purchased from its original owner and has only been serviced and lightly polished to remove surface scratches.

The watch was serviced by our very own Rolex trained service technician using only Rolex original parts. The Zenith cal 400 movement has been stripped, ultra sonic chemically cleaned and then oiled and re-built. Grade A++ service.
