Rolex Oyster Perpetual ref 6610 Gilt Dial complete with box, papers and service history.
This watch has had one owner from new and was purchased in 1958 during military service on HMS Bulwark.
On arriving at Portsmouth the watch along with other purchases were declared(see import receipt)
This rare Rolex Explorer Model 6610, Serial number 268578 was manufactured in 1957.The case and
bracelet are free from any dents and scratches but they do show signs of wear of a watch that has been worn on a day to day basis for 57 years.
The Gloss Gilt Closed Track original dial shows signs of 57 years of wear and has a Patina to match.The dial is signed Swiss.The gilt hands are also original.
The watch comes with its original box, original Rolex guarantee certificate, chronometer certificate(open),timing certificate, service history and import duty papers.
The watch has been purchased from the original owner, a true collector’s item

The diameter of 6610’s are 36mm without crown
The watch was serviced by our very own Rolex trained service technician using only Rolex original parts. The Rolex cal 1060 movement has been stripped, ultra sonic chemically cleaned and then oiled and re-built. Grade A++ service.
