Vintage Rolex Sea Dweller ref 1665 manufactured in 1979. Complete with Box,papers and Accesories
This stunning Rail Dial Rolex Sea Dweller is one of the Hottest Rolex Sports Models around. These "Rail Dials" were made by the Stern Company who made the 600 meters COMEX 1665 dials for a 2 year period , 1978-79.
The watches serial number is 61*5971 which dates the watch to 1978.
What does "RAil Dial" mean ?
- The "C" of chronometer lines up with the "C" of certified of the line below.
- The Font of the depth markings are always in Italics.
- The hour markers are closer to the minute track than regular 1665 dials.
- The only version of the Sea-Dweller dials where they are marked "T SWISS T <25", including COMEX 1665.
- Longer Minute markers.
- Serials 5.7 mil to 6.2mil.
This Rolex Sports watch comes read to wear on its own Vintage Rolex Oyster Bracelet ref 93150. with its rare ref 380 end pieces. This Sea-Dweller was purchased from its original owner and has only been serviced.
Polishing on the watch can be done on request.
The movement is the automatic or perpetual chronometer Calibre 1570 or more accurately 1575 because of the date mechanism. The movement has been serviced in our workshop by our very own Rolex Accredited Watch Specialist and comes with a 2 year guarantee.
