Rolex Red Submariner ref 1680 (1967)

This Rolex Red Submariner ref 1680 was manufactured in 1967 and has the serial number 2186113. This watch today is 40+ years old

Introduced in 1967 the ref 1680 was manufactured with Submariner printed in a rich red until 1973 then the dial was replaced by the "white" text submariner.

This Red Submariner would have been in the early part of production line from its serial number and the fact that it still retains it's meters first dial. The caseback must have been changed at somepoint in a service as it is not date stamped. The case and bracelet are in excellent condition with no dents or scratches.

The movement is the automatic or perpetual chronometer Calibre 1570 or more accurately 1575 because of the date mechanism. This movement has been serviced in our workshop and comes with a 2 year guarantee
