This watch was manufactured in 1970 and has the serial number 2421919. This watch today is 40+ years old

Introduced in 1967 the ref 1680 was manufactured with Submariner printed in a rich red until 1973 then the dial was replaced by the "white" text submariner.

This Rolex Red Submariner meters first dial when in daylight has begun to fade a slight tropical brown, making this red sub a 'Tropical RED Submariner. The caseback is correct stamped I 70 corresponding to the production date of 1970.

The case and bracelet are in excellent condition with no dents or scratches.
