Vintage Rolex Submariner 1680/8.
“Sporty Elegance”, would be one phrase to describe the 1680/8, or the plastic gold sub.
This Rolex model 1680/8 with serial number 5863522 was manufactured in 1978, making this watch 34 years old and in excellent condition as you can see from the photos.
The solid 18k gold case and bracelet have no dents or scratches. This watch has a matt black dial with yellow gold markers (commonly known as “The nipple” dial) and tritium markers are in excellent condition free of any blemishes.
The movement is the automatic or perpetual chronometer Calibre 1570 or more accurately 1575 because of the date mechanism.
This Rolex Submariner was purchased from its original owner and has only been serviced and lightly polished to remove surface scratches.
All photographs are of the Actual watch which have not been edited in any way.
The watch was serviced by our very own Rolex trained service technician using only Rolex original parts. The Rolex movement cal 1575 movement has been stripped, ultra sonic chemically cleaned and then oiled and re-built. Grade A++ service.
This watch comes with a 2 year guarantee.
