Vintage Rolex Datejust 18CT White Gold bezel Polar dial watch ref 1601 (1970)

Vintage Rolex Datejust ref:1601. 

Rolex Datejust ref 1601 was manufactured in 1970 making this wtach 40+ year old.The light grey dial is in excellent condition free of any blemishes and it certainly stands out from the rest AKA 'Polar Dial'. The watch is free from any dents or scratches and still retains it original 18CT White Gold bezel. These 60's-70's datejusts have unique dials where they angle down along the edge, this type of dial is no longer made and deemed obsolete, they are commonly known as a "Pie Pan Dial". The movement is the automatic or perpetual chronometer Calibre 1570 or more accurately 1575 because of the date mechanism.

The movement has been serviced in our workshop and comes with a 2 year guarantee. The case unfortunately due to age is no longer guaranteed water-resistant. The watch comes ready to wear on a stainless steel Rolex jubilee bracelet.
